Resist the urge to print the largest model your printer will make. Most small resin printers will easily fit a 1400 scale refit ship based on the measures given here. When you start making ships in odd sizes and then you start looking for decals, its going to cost you. Look at the detail kit on this page. What happens if you print, say,... a ship with a saucer diameter of 112 mm. These graphics will not fit. On an up scale, even that small, I'd have to rearrange everything and it bumps to a larger sheet size, which is more.... but you need aztecs and the whole deal (which is awesome btw), Then the aztec set goes into a larger set and increases the number of sheets and because of that I have to do the layout all over.... and then you've dumped a whole heap of money in a tiny little ship. Not that small ships aren't worth it,.. I strongly feel that they are but a lot of folks don't want to invest tons into small ships. I get it. I feel ya dog. I'm not beating you down.

At 1400 scale, your Refit era ships should measure an edge to edge diameter close to 100MM starboard to port at the saucer. Width and Length of the Bridge (not the B/C Deck) should measure about 10mmx12mm. If you're doing an odd shaped model, go by the bridge dimensions. Given the variations in 3d printing, +/- 1 mm or so won't hurt you.

About the Detail Set

The Detail kit includes a good many pieces more than the 1000 Scale kit. You still get the all the stuff from the 1000 scale kit AND strongbacks AND transport arrays, AND lots of smaller details. AND on top of that, you get the choice of a black stripe kit or a red stripe kit. The black stripe kit comes with gray strongbacks. The red comes with the duck egg version. You get enough to outfit the whole ship, minus the registry. There's a good many 1400 scale garage kits out there that come with a registry. For that reason, I'm doing the registry set as an add on. But I'll have plenty of names ready to go as as well as an option for a custom name and number. All add on registries are discounted when bought with this kit.

And I'm doing an optional add on Aztec set at a discount, too. Its a version of the kit basher set, so you do have to custom cut some of this to fit. You can chose a light or mediums tone. The medium is shown here.

Does this set come with a placement guide? Nope.
That's not an insult. I promise, it isn't. This kit is intended for folks with small (normal) 3d printers to get a graphics set to cover many ships. I have no idea what you're planning to print up. But, you can refer to the R2 placement guides for the 1000 scale Miranda and Enterprise kit for guidance. So, get weird,.. but stay within the suggested size parameters.

This is meant to be a supplement to the OE graphics or for printers and kitbashers to go crazy. Dry fit all pieces before installation.
